A ceiling-mounted projector, a faraway media cabinet, and ARC that wouldn't handshake. We mapped the route, added a certified 2.1 switch with eARC extraction, and hid one long run under a paintable raceway. Sync locked, cables vanished, and a living room - not a lab - delivered weekend matinees without crossed fingers.

I prefer reliable ARC/eARC workarounds and tidy cable routes over marginal codec gains.
